How to set up a PC after Windows installation

Windows OS is the most used OS in the world. But, every user should re-install it at least once every year or two (depends on how much you use a PC). This isn’t hard, but you must have some basic knowledge about computers and installation. And it looks very complicated. Because of this, many people send their PC to a local computer service. They get a PC when a completely new Windows OS. This is a good thing. A bad thing is that many of those services don’t do any of the after install setup.

Without drivers, your computer cannot work properly. Because some drivers are hard to get, many computer services skip this step. So, you will have to install them by yourself. Right click on a My Computer and at the left, upper corner you will see Device manager. Click there. You will get a list of all parts of your PC. All of them require a driver. Those with red marks near them doesn’t have a driver. Right click on it and choose update the driver. Choose install driver automatically and wait. Do this for all items.

Your computer doesn’t have an antivirus. Connect a PC to the internet and download free antivirus (Avast is recommended) or install some other if you have. If you cannot play a video on YouTube, you will need to install an Adobe flash player. Google it and install. But if you cannot play your movies, you must download and install codecs. Search on the internet for ‘’codecs’’, download and install them. When you are done, reboot your computer and you are ready.
